St. Peter's Church of England Primary School

Hand in Hand we journey together, guided by God

Friends of St. Peter’s School

About Us

In March 2015 we took a leap of faith and decided to re-launch the traditionally named PTA (Parent Teacher Association) as the Friends of St.Peter’s School.  As our name suggests, we are a friendly group of parents and carers whose aim is to coordinate vital fundraising for the school and have some fun whilst doing so!  We organise a wide range of social events and activities for grown-ups and children throughout the year and funds raised help to provide additional materials, equipment and activities which benefit all of our children.

Previously, money raised has gone towards the new school playground markings, IT resources such as interactive whiteboard and iPads, sports equipment and team kits, and even KS2 fruit.

We aim to;

  • Promote collaboration and communication between parents, carers and school staff
  • Assist in providing activities which support and advance the welfare and education of the pupils attending the school. (as set out in our Constitution)

We are comprised of a Committee and a group of Class Representatives. Class Reps. inform parents about ‘Friends’ news and events and organise class social events.

Get Involved

Dates for the FOSPS committee meetings are always circulate by ParentMail and everyone is welcome to join these meetings.  You do not need to be a member of the committee to attend.

As the parent or carer of a child at St.Peter’s C.E. Primary School you are automatically a ‘Friend’ of the school and, as our logo says, “together we can make a difference”.  We are always looking for new volunteers, no matter how much time you have to offer, so if you have ideas and enthusiasm please get in touch.  We can be contacted at any time by emailing us at fosps@st-peters.school  We also have a post box in the school entrance and a noticeboard at the school gate.
